Leadership
Pranav Viswanathan
Co-Founder and CEO
Pranav is the co-founder of NetSim (2005) and its chief architect. As CEO he oversees
R&D, Product, and Support. His expertise lies in the simulation of 5G/6G networks,
Wi-Fi, Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs), military radios, and the Internet of Things
(IoT). His current focus areas are AI/ML in the RAN, Non-Terrestrial Networking,
Network Slicing, and MANET military radio networks.
He has a penchant for interacting with customers, appreciating their requirements, and
answering needs with software. With 20 years of experience in the modeling and
simulation of wireless networks, he has travelled worldwide to orchestrate solutions
using NetSim. Pranav received his B-Tech from IIT Madras in 2003.
Shashikant Suman
Co-Founder and Technical Lead
Shashikant is part of the founding team of NetSim and is the current development lead.
Over the years he developed most of NetSim's internal infrastructure, including the
virtual (TCP/IP) network stack, the emulator module for external connectivity, the
NetSim APIs, and the custom code development framework. He has also written a number of
protocol libraries including 802.11, 802.15.4, MANET, VANET, and 5G NR.
His present efforts centre on deepening the 5G/6G library to meet cellular service
provider needs and adding advanced visualizations to the GUI. Shashikant received his
Integrated MSc from IIT Kharagpur.
